Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of keepcalmaromatherapy.com (the “Site”) and to anything you buy or book from Keep Calm Aromatherapy LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“Keep Calm Aromatherapy”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Site, placing an order or booking a session, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Returns Policy and our Shipping Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to place an order or book a session. We ship to addresses in the United States only.

2. Our products

• Our body butters, sprays and blends are made by hand in small batches, usually to order. Because they are handmade with natural ingredients, color, texture and scent can vary slightly from batch to batch and from the photos.
• Ingredients are listed on each product page. Please read them carefully if you have allergies or sensitivities.
• Our products are cosmetics and aromatherapy products for external and aromatic use only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Please read our Health & Safety page before use.
• You are responsible for using products as directed: dilute essential oils, patch test, keep away from eyes, keep out of reach of children and pets, and check with your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition.

3. Prices, sales and payment

• Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
• When a product is on sale, the crossed-out price is the price we normally charge for it. Sales and discount codes apply only for the time and to the products we state, and can’t be combined unless we say so. We may end a sale at any time; orders placed before it ends keep the sale price.
• We try hard to show correct prices and details. If we make an obvious mistake, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after you have received an order confirmation.
• Payment is taken when you place your order.

4. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we start making or ship it. We may refuse or cancel an order (for example, for suspected fraud, a pricing error or an item we can no longer make), and if we do, we will refund any payment in full. If you need to change or cancel an order, email us as soon as possible. Once an item has been made, it can only be returned under our Refund & Returns Policy.

5. Shipping, returns and refunds

Shipping is covered by our Shipping Policy, and returns and refunds by our Refund & Returns Policy.

6. Aromatherapy sessions, consultations and workshops

• Sessions are provided by Cristina Melo, a Level 1 certified aromatherapist (New York Institute of Aromatic Studies). Aromatherapy sessions support overall wellness. They are not medical care, and Cristina is not a licensed medical provider. Sessions are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and do not replace advice from your doctor. Please see your doctor for any serious medical condition or concern.
• Before your session we will ask about your goals, scent preferences, allergies and general wellness. Please answer honestly and tell us about any pregnancy, medication, allergy or medical condition, so we can suggest suitable oils.
• Custom products suggested during a session are charged separately.
• Rescheduling and cancelling: please email us at least 24 hours before your session. To reschedule, include a new date. If you cancel at least 24 hours ahead, you’ll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed sessions, are not refunded.
• You may book for someone else only with their consent.

7. Accounts

If you create an account, keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.

8. Reviews, comments and messages

If you post a review or comment, it must be honest, about your own experience, and not unlawful, abusive or misleading. You give us permission to show it on the Site and in our marketing, with your first name or display name. We may remove content that breaks these rules. We never pay for or edit reviews to change their meaning.

9. Our content

The Site’s text, photos, logo, recipes and blog posts belong to Keep Calm Aromatherapy or are used with permission. You may share links and quote small parts with credit, but you may not copy or sell our content without written permission.

10. Acceptable use

Please don’t misuse the Site: no hacking, scraping, spam, fraud, or anything that harms the Site or other people.

11. Disclaimers

Blog posts and other information on the Site are for general education and wellness only, and are not medical advice. Except as stated in these Terms and as required by law, the Site, products and services are provided “as is”, without other warranties. This does not affect any rights you have under law that cannot be waived.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Keep Calm Aromatherapy will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to a product or service is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable United States law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless you are entitled to bring a claim in small claims court where you live. Before making a claim, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version shown when you place an order or book a session applies to that order or booking.
